Metro North Sectional Minister's Small Affinity Group Get-together...or something like that?

Did you get all that???

Gail and I are credentialed with the Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God. Currently, our district is going through a major restructuring process, and frankly, we are still trying to figure out all of the logistics. We used to have "Sectional Minister's Meetings", but we are moving toward a small group model that will look quite different. While I don't think my title will catch on, until I'm told what to call these gatherings, I'll just have to improvise. Though we do have a full travel schedule, we've been committed to participate in district life anytime we are able.

Well, I may not know what to call it, I had a great time last night!! Several ministers from the Metro-North Section gathered at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Edwardsville, IL for a time of fellowship. Unfortunately, Gail and the kids were not able to join me as we have discovered that messing with our children's bedtimes can be an unwise venture. There are many times when our schedule is out of our contol, and Anthony and Emily flex marvelously for us, but if it is in our power, we try to keep something consistent for them!!
Everyone seemed to have such a great time catching up with each other. Pastor Phil Schneider, our fearless leader, shared an update regarding all the changes that are occurring and how the district leadership is continuing to seek common ground for all IL ministers for a stronger and vibrant district in the years to come.

Here are a few highlight pictures of our evening!!

Radiant Life Worship Center, Litchfield, IL

Greeeeeetings, Friends!! What an exciting day in Litchfield, IL. Whole In One had the privilege of sharing at Radiant Life Worship Center in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Jim Brown and his wife, Michelle, serve have faithfully served the congregation in Litchfield for over 7 years.

We were able to lead the congregation in a time of corporate worship followed by a message of hope and wholeness through music and drama. Gail encouraged the congregation through music on her violin. As we often here, one of the men of the church came up afterward to thank us for coming, and exclaimed, "that was great, and so unique." He went on to share how great it is to be able to laugh in church...

Yes, as many of you know, we love to combine the humorous with the life-changing truth of the Gospel. We have found that people who have laughed with you are more willing to cry with you. I'm so thankful that God has given us a way to break down barriers to be able to deal with the real issues that people face everyday.

Thank you, Pastor Jim and Michelle, for inviting us to be with you and for your kind hospitality!!
