Feast or Famine!

I'm not sure that there will ever be a science to life on the road, but it seems that we are constantly left guessing. Last year, Whole In One couldn't book a December service to save our lives, but this year each Sunday was booked!!

Let's not be confused! I'm NOT complaining, just merely making an observation.

Tonight, we had the opportunity to share a very special Christmas Eve service with First Assembly of God in Normal, IL. This is Gail's home church, and it was so nice to be with family this holiday season. It was a beautiful service filled with music provided by Whole In One and a candlelighting time that is always a highlight during the Christmas season.

Well, I would have pictures except that I felt it would have been a great hazard to try to snap a shot while holding a candle...hmmm, maybe I should have...that orange carpet really needs replaced...uh...

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

O Tannonbaum...or is that Tannon-Bomb?

Merry Christmas!!

It's true, we have a Christmas tree this year. We were growing weary of the dissappointed looks and woeful groans, "your kids won' t have a Christmas tree...how terrible!"

Well, our kids don't really care, BUT for all of you 'Christmas Tree Huggers" that insisted that our kids would somehow be missing out without a Christmas tree...WE GOT ONE!!

So here's to passing on another wonderful family tradition...

(Anthony, can you please help me carry this thing into the trailer house!!)

Camping Anyone??

There's nothing quite like camping in Pennsylvania!! So we headed south...and this is what we got on the way!!!

It was a crazy trip to Mount Airy, NC from Washington, PA. The mountainous terrain and the curvy roads are challenging when it's sunny and 70 degrees...

Did I mention that we were pulling a 34' travel trailer, and it was sinking deeper into the 20's and snowy! Burrrrrr....

We stopped and ate at Tamarack, West Virginia's premiere stop on I-77...just south of Charleston, WV. http://tamarack.terradon.com/default.aspx

Boy, did this take lots of explaining!!

NO, we didn't buy the lollipop!

Well, due to some expert driving (and a lot of God's grace), we arrived safely in Mount Airy, NC, the home of Mayberry!! Never a dull moment with Whole In One on the road.
Welcome to MAYBERRY!!

The Salt of the Earth!!

It's true...Whole In One had the privilege of joining with our friends in Salineville, OH. for a pair of great services. Salineville, Ohio is nestled between Canton & Pittsburgh and just north of Steubenville. The city was originally founded around the great salt mines of Ohio; hence, its name, Salineville.

Pastor Rodney and Cathy Ohler serve as the pastors of Salineville Assembly of God. Pastor Ohler and his wife have been faithfully serving there for three years. Whole In One has been blessed richly by their love, support, and friendship. Our friendship began with a 'cold call' trying to book an open date a couple of years ago. Although Pastor did not know me, he took a step of faith inviting us to share in ministry. I knew from the first time we met that God had brought us together!

Gail and I shared our special 2006 Christmas presentation in the morning and our interactive, "Worship: A Biblical Perspective" service in the evening. Both services were well received and the response of the congregation was so encouraging. We are truly excited to see what God has in store for the church!!

Thank you to the Ohlers for being such a blessing to us and the kingdom!!
