Dinner Theatre Highlights

The "Secret of Latria" has had rave reviews! At the conclusion of June 2004, Angela completed the final brush strokes on her dinner theatre masterpiece. Due to our September 2004 'guinea pig' church's change of plans, we had to cancel our inaugural run of "The Secret of Latria". The script was forced to lay dormant during the Christmas season and through the Illinois District Fine Arts Festival which was held in April 2005. It would be suppressed no longer...it immerged on Sunday evening, May 22 at O'Fallon Assembly of God. In spite of numerous graduation parties and beautiful weather, over 170 people came to the first showing of the 'Secret of Latria'. Some may say that our home church in O'Fallon, IL might be a little bias, the feedback was tremendous.

Our production at Community Gospel Church in Northvale, NJ was a great success as well. The church in Northvale runs normally around 60-75 people, and there were 20 first time visitors at this event with a total attendance of 63. One couple even said, "this was the most fun we've had in many years!"

For those of you who may not know anything about the 'Secret of Latria'...there is good news and bad news. Bad news: IT'S A SECRET, and I'm not telling you...Good news: I will explain a little more about our dinner theatre production.

Our dinner theatre is completely original, written by our very own, Rev. Angela J. Pettibone!
"The Secret of Latria" is an interactive dinner theatre, meaning that everyone is a part of the production. While some scenes are 'staged', the entire room serves as the set for this unfolding mystery. The characters are scattered throughout the room, and the drama is played out before everyone's eyes. The cast consist of 13 characters; Whole In One play the 4 main roles and 9 supplimental characters from the church. Our dinner theatre is set in modern times and in a museum setting.

All I can say is that this production is a lot of fun for everyone. From the brilliant, comical writing, to the many twists and turns, people of any age will enjoy this production from beginning to end!

Below are a few highlight pictures of our dinner theatre. Please feel free to visit our website for more information about how you can host "The Secret of Latria" at your church or group. (www.wioministries.com)

Anthony Joel's Memories

Anthony is growing in wisdom and stature! He's had an exciting time with Papa and Grammy Pettibone here in 'Joizy'

"This is what I have to say about humidity!"

"Hat, headphones, Handel, and COOKIES...this is the life!"

Favorite Words: "Hold, 'GA (Angela)!"

"If you think my eye looks bad...you should see the other kid!" (Anthony's first shiner! He fell prey to a nursery chair that jumped up and got him at Trinity A/G in Passaic, NJ.)

"Swimmin' pools...movie stars!"

Our New Jersey Home

It hardly seems possible that our time in New Jersey is coming to an end. We arrived May 26th, and we head out in the morning (June 29). The following picture is what Pastor Ron and Ambra Pettibone endured for the past 5 weeks.

Home, Sweet Home!

Our gratitude for the Pettibone's hospitality, generosity and love is beyond what words can adaquately express. For those who may not know, Pastor and Ambra are Todd's parents who are pastors at Community Gospel Church in Northvale, NJ. We have had services and special events in New Jersey, and the Pettibones have kindly hosted us...okay, mostly put up with us throughout the entire 5 weeks. We love you, Pastor and Ambra!!

From the special outdoor service at Calvary Temple in Delran, NJ to the Dinner Theatre in Northvale to our 'outdoor-rain-filled-turned-indoor' picnic at Calvary Temple in Wayne, NJ, we had an exciting time sharing the Gospel. We had over 20 individuals make first time commitments to Christ in our services. Only God knows how many other seeds were planted. Praise the Lord!!

Bee in the Park Outreach

Todd, Joel, Angela and Gail singing at the outreach. Posted by Hello

Following are some pictures of our outreach in Orangetown, New York. Orangetown Community Church is a new Assembly of God church plant. We had the opportunity to help them out with their first big event. In spite of the 98 degree weather, we had drama, music, games, prizes, face painting, and lots of smiles. The event was a great success. This young church of 4 members had between 100-120 kids and parents attend this community event. Whole In One was thrilled to have the opportunity to help plan and execute this great outreach

Whole In One chose kids at random to act out our Bible story about 'Bee-ing a Peacemaker' ~ Having peace with God, ourselves, and others!
